The 2026 CO Safety Summit will be held in conjunction with the National Association of State Fire Marshals’ Annual Fire Prevention & Safety Symposium, bringing carbon monoxide safety leaders together alongside national fire prevention stakeholders.
Audience
The CO Safety Summit convenes a multidisciplinary group of professionals who play a direct role in carbon monoxide prevention, response, and policy. Attendees include state and local fire marshals, fire service leaders, public safety professionals, and community risk reduction experts, alongside carbon monoxide advocates, public health and medical professionals, researchers, manufacturers, and government representatives.
This unique co-located event creates an environment where education, policy, technology, and real-world prevention come together as one.
The 4th Annual CO Safety Summit features a wide range of timely, evidence-based discussions focused on advancing carbon monoxide prevention. Programming brings together experts from across sectors to explore emerging data, best practices, and real-world solutions that reduce CO-related injuries and deaths.
Summit topics include carbon monoxide education and messaging, trends and surveillance, codes and standards development, human factors in alarm and system design, fire service and trade training, public health and medical perspectives, community risk reduction strategies, indoor air quality, and transportation-related CO risks. Updates from NCOAA-led working groups and national and international partners are also included.
The Summit begins Monday morning and concludes mid-day on Wednesday.
